EKME's involvement in the marine sector dates back to the early years of the company. Over the past 45 years we have been continuously engaged in the maintenance of offshore production platforms in the North Aegean oil and gas fields.
We have expanded our marine activities to include the construction of modular marine jetty elements and participation in projects involving LNG barge development — including the fabrication of LNG heat exchangers.

In response to evolving market demands and IMO sulphur emission regulations, EKME has become a key manufacturer of marine exhaust gas cleaning systems (scrubbers) for a wide range of vessel types.
Recognising the maritime industry's shift toward zero-carbon fuels, EKME specialises in the engineering and fabrication of ammonia (NH₃) storage tanks. By combining our deep experience in modular construction and pressure vessel technology, we provide the critical infrastructure required to adopt ammonia as a viable alternative marine fuel.
